Squire 1.0.0-beta.2

Release: 22 October 2026. Beta.2 brings sports-specific coaching, concurrent training plans and the refined web dashboard. It remains an evaluation beta; each institution approves its own deployment, privacy and live-data use.

Downloads

No published release yet

Squire 1.0.0 stable is planned. Evaluation beta releases are available in the GitHub release history.

The ZIP includes the signed APK, SHA256SUMS and non-secret build.json. GitHub source archives contain source, not an installer or database backup. The release panel reflects actual GitHub publication.

What changed

  • Institution sports and coaching specialties; primary and sport-scoped supporting coaches.
  • Concurrent goal-specific plans with explicit replacement/end actions and coordination warnings.
  • Full role profiles, role-based People tabs, invitation sports and coach-recorded workouts with attributed correction history.
  • Shared search/pagination, clearer cards/forms, dedicated editors, accessible controls and English/Arabic layout refinements.
  • Refreshed Android launcher artwork, using the existing signing identity. Coach recording remains web-only; the native field workflow stays focused on events, attendance, assessments and recovery.
  • Patched Vite/Vitest tooling. Two upstream Android development-tool advisories remain documented in the known issues.

Upgrade

Back up PostgreSQL and private files together, then follow the release upgrade guide. Apply the five forward migrations: sports/specialties, coaching links, concurrent plans, delegated sessions and invitation sports. Preserve existing data; never reset or reseed an institution.

Install Android beta.2 over beta.1 without uninstalling or clearing saved work. versionCode is 1000002. The bundle's build.json records the exact compiled source; source archives and APK provenance must not be confused. Beta.1 phone acceptance remains complete; a historical beta.1-to-beta.2 upgrade result is not claimed. See phone installation.

Earlier beta.1

Beta.1 was published on 19 October. Its signed bundle and founder Galaxy S20+ offline walkthrough were accepted. It remains available as historical release evidence; broader devices/accessibility and per-institution deployment checks remain separate.
