Nutrition and diary sharing

Keep agreed guidance, actual food entries and sharing choices distinct.

What the feature provides

Institution administrators and currently assigned coaches can publish dated nutrition plans within their authorised scope. A plan can contain agreed calorie/macronutrient targets, guidance and example meals. Athletes record their actual food separately and decide whether to share their institution diary with authorised staff.

The organisational value is a clearer distinction between the guidance the team gave, what the athlete chose to record and what staff are currently allowed to see. Rafik does not independently decide a suitable diet, prescribe treatment or prove that a target is appropriate.

Browse published plans

With the updated web app and backend, Nutrition plans shows current published guidance across authorised athletes immediately. Search by athlete, page through results, or filter upcoming, expired and replaced versions. Open a card to view that exact published version, including versions on older history pages. To write new guidance, choose Create a plan and then its athlete. The overview contains plan dates and revision, without exposing food diaries; existing diary-sharing rules still apply.

Prepare a dated plan

  1. Select the correct athlete in the institution context. Confirm that you have current responsibility and the intended date.
  2. Enter the agreed targets and guidance. Check the basis and units of any food or portion data rather than assuming all entries describe the same serving size.
  3. Add example meals where useful and review the plan before publishing.
  4. Set the effective period and any supported expiry. Publication creates a version; earlier versions are not edited in place.

Versioned, dated plans let the team distinguish current guidance from an earlier prescription. They are not evidence that the athlete followed either plan. Staff need an appropriate institution-approved process for agreeing guidance; a calculator’s arithmetic is not nutritional or clinical judgement.

Record actual intake separately

An athlete selects a food or example, adjusts the amount actually eaten and saves the entry for the relevant day. Suggested meals do not become consumed food automatically. Check the nutrient basis before changing quantities; missing nutrient values remain unknown rather than becoming zero.

The feature retains plan versions and supported diary corrections/removals. An authorised correction can explain why a current total differs from a previous view. Do not infer deception, non-adherence or nutritional adequacy merely from incomplete entries.

Sharing is an explicit choice

Institution diary sharing defaults off in the current contract. Enabling it permits currently authorised staff to read that institution diary within their scope. Disabling sharing hides its actual entries and related history from subsequent staff reads. Personal nutrition records remain separate.

A coach’s relationship with an athlete does not itself make every personal diary visible. Check the sharing state before discussing recorded intake, and explain visibility to the athlete before asking them to enable it. Turning sharing off does not retract copies someone may already have exported or recorded outside the system.

What an institution can evaluate

With synthetic records, publish a dated plan, record one actual entry and verify that the plan alone did not add intake. Compare staff views before sharing, after sharing and after withdrawal. Correct a portion and confirm the distinction between the revised actual and the original plan.

This evaluates clarity of the workflow and access boundaries. It does not demonstrate a health benefit, sporting improvement, comprehensive food coverage or production approval.

Practical limits

Reference food coverage and the completeness of nutrient values vary. Staff must review the source and suitability of the information they use. Native/offline nutrition capture is not a current promised phone feature. Do not submit diary or athlete health information through this website’s contact flow.
